I Cracked the Code to Being #1 in Business

Ok, so I didn't actually crack the code, Steve Jobs did. But, it took twelve years of building a multi-million dollar real estate empire to realize that the secret to being number one is embodied in this short, simple, and old, television commercial for Apple. At our annual Kick Start Sales Rally for our 300 person real estate team, my partner and I unleashed the truth about our amazing success in a troubled market. Our success, as I see it, is because as business owners my partner and I are the crazy ones. However, this alone does not guarantee success. Being number one, the best, at the peak of your performance, requires that the members of your team...sales people, staff members, management, everyone, be CRAZY. This is how Zappos was built. That's why you can call this shoe conglomerate in Vegas and ask for a great pizza shop in Chicago and you'll get better results than Google. This is why the shoe guy from Nordstrom, who never met me, called to make sure the gift of shoes I received were up to par. This is why my real estate organization has gone from non-existence thirteen years ago to the largest MA based real estate firm in the state today. Our growth was because of the crazy ones...the sales people that didn't let the economic recession crush them. The crazy ones are those people that are so unbelievably nutty, they believe they can be, do, and have it all, no matter what. Here's to the crazy ones! Its the ones just like us that are crazy enough to change the world. The code has been cracked.
