Join Stacey Alcorn as she interviews the inspirational adventurer, speaker, author, and philanthropist Randy Pierce. In this episode, Randy shares his story of overcoming challenges, achieving goals, and the importance of giving back.
After completely losing his sight in 2000, Randy has continuously powered forward through life, facing every challenge as a problem solver. Throughout the obstacles he faced in losing his vision, Randy didn’t stop believing in himself. With the help of his trusted seeing-eye dog and the support of his ‘seeing-eye wife’, he has become part of a small, but accomplished group of people who have climbed the New Hampshire 48 in the Appalachian Mountains. Next on the docket? The Boston Marathon and Mt. Kilimanjaro.
“We fail too often to celebrate all of the good stuff and decisions we make along the way.” Tweet This
Never forgetting about the guidance and support he received when he was going blind, Randy founded a non-profit, 2020 Vision Quest, where he spreads messages of teamwork, communication, and believing in yourself to schools across the country. The money he receives from his speaking engagements goes towards the New Hampshire Association for the Blind and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
Listen and learn how Randy embraces his adversity and finds ways to showcase his ability awareness by inspiring others to rise to great heights and achieve their goals.
